Players Beg Forgiveness from Livid Borussia Dortmund Fans So They Won’t Storm the Field After Loss (Video)
Borussia Dortmund won consecutive Bundesliga championships in 2010-11 and 2011-12, then they followed those with consecutive second-place finishes in 2012-13 and 2013-14. However, the 2014-15 team is like the Knicks of German soccer. And Borussia Dortmund fans are PISSED.
Things came to a head on Wednesday night after a home game against FC Augsburg. Despite the fact that their opponents were a man down for the last 30 minutes of the match, Dortmund still lost 1-0. It was their 11th loss in 19 games this season, and it sunk them into dead-last place all by themselves.
How upset were the Borussia Dortmund fans afterward? So upset that goalie Roman Weidenfeller and center defender Mats Hummels actually had to go out and talk to fans to calm them down and keep them from climbing over the fence and storming the field.
It was insane. Take a look:

Carmelo Anthony probably thinks things are pretty bad right now. But at least he doesn’t have to go out onto the court every time the Knicks lose and beg the fans not to riot.
