High school soccer player Geoffrey Acheampong has some balls on him. Less than seven seconds after the game kicked off, he squared up from behind midfield and launched a ball the length of the field. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but…it went in

I was about to type “We wouldn’t have shared this video if it DIDN’T result in a goal,” but now that I think about it, I’m not sure that’s true. A video showing a brazen high school kid taking an ill-advised shot and missing by a mile sounds EXACTLY like the type of thing that we would post on TPS. It actually sounds pretty funny. But not as impressive as this goal was.

Take a look:

If you need another reason to get behind the kid who kicked this goal, know that his team’s opponent was a bunch of gluten-intolerant kids from Malibu. I mean, for all I know, this high school soccer player’s team, Cate, could be the same way, but I KNOW Malibu is that way.

So until I learn more, GO CATE!
