Markel Brown

The name Markel Brown might not resonate with anyone other than hardcore Nets fans, but the 6’3″ guard averaging just 3 PPG and shooting just 36% from the field may find another way to enter our hearts: With sick jams.

In last night’s game against the Pelicans, Markel Brown tipped a pass for a fastbreak, which led to a thoughtful approach and a sick 360 dunk that may be the most impressive we’ve seen in a game in years.

Take a look and see if you agree:

That’s a quality dunk. Rarely do in-game dunks, except for forceful throw downs and alley-oops, really drop your jaw. This is one of those rare instances.

I hope the guys that pick the dunk contest candidates have good memories, because in 10 months, when that decision’s being made, I want everyone to remember this play, then clone Brown five more times and have six Markel Browns in the dunk contest.
