Cheerleader Fight Breaks Out At SIAC Basketball Tournament (Video)
It would take something big for us to give two sh*ts about the SIAC basketball tournament that is currently taking place in Birmingham, Alabama. Something like a crazy scandal, a violent brawl amongst the players, or even a cheerleader fight.
As you’ve probably already assumed after reading the title of this post, it was the latter of those three scenarios that has our attention here, as the cheerleaders of Tuskegee and Albany State started throwing fists following Tuesday’s game between the two schools—which Tuskegee won, 80-63.

As is always the case when something like this unfolds, the SIAC felt the need to release the following statement regarding the incident:
“The obligation to observe basic principles of sportsmanship and fair play extends to all participants at the SIAC basketball tournament. As a consequence of the incident on Tuesday, the cheerleading and dance teams from both Albany State University and Tuskegee University will not be permitted to participate in our tournament for the remainder of the week.”
Suspending the two cheerleading teams for the remainder of the tournament seems fair, but maybe they should have thanked them as well for making us care about the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for once in our lives.
