Rams Lineman Aaron Donald Bought His Dad a Brand New Truck (Video)
St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald signed a pretty nice rookie contract last June. Selected 13th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft, he signed a four-year $10.136 million deal that included a nice $5.692 million signing bonus.
That’s not Nadamukong Suh money. Or JJ Watt money But it’s not chump change either.
Of course, it turned out to be an absolute bargain for the Rams. Donald went out and recorded 47 tackles, nine sacks, and two forced fumbles en route to a Pro Bowl selection and Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
Donald isn’t bitter that he didn’t hold out for more money, though. Instead, he is happily sharing the wealth he has, doing very generous things like buying his dad a truck.
Obviously, it’s a Dodger RAM. And of course he posted his dad’s priceless reaction on Instagram.
Check it out:
I’m not a professional athlete (obviously), but I imagine it must feel pretty incredible to do something like that for your parents. Just watching this video of Aaron Donald doing it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
