Banned English Soccer Coach Tom Killick Watches Game from Attic Window of Nearby House
Tom Killick coaches Poole Town FC in England’s Southern Football League. However, just because he coaches a barely-professional club in the seventh tier of the English football pyramid, that doesn’t mean he’s not passionate about his job. So when he recently got suspended for a whopping six games after a heated confrontation with a referee, he knew he’d have to find some way to keep an eye on things.
Luckily, the Poole FC groundskeeper happens to live in a house right behind the field, and his attic window has a pretty good view. So during Poole’s recent 3-2 win over Cambridge City, that’s where Tom Killick was—in the groundskeeper’s attic.
You can see a map of the area above that shows the relation of the groundskeeper’s house to the field. Here are photos of Killick watching the game:
It’s kind of like the old rooftop seats across the street from Wrigley. Only a lot sadder.
Two points for ingenuity, though.
