Katie Nolan Rant Absolutely Destroys Co-Worker’s Sexist Masters Column (Video)
Last week, Foxsports.com college football analyst Clay Travis posted a column on his Outkick the Coverage blog called “How to Land a Husband at the Masters.” The column was written by a woman named Rebecca Johnson. Though she now lives in California, Johnson grew up in Augusta, and apparently the 31-year-old wanted to share her man-seeking wisdom with the masses.
The column was nonsense, of course, like all “how to land a husband” columns are. (If you want to read it, you can Google it yourself. I’m not going to link to it.) But no one would have paid any attention if it had appeared on a website known for peddling such advice. The fact that it appeared on a college football blog? Well, that pissed off a lot of people. And one of those people just so happened to be Fox Sports 1′s brilliant Katie Nolan.
We’ve seen in the past that Nolan is not afraid to use her platform to tear somebody a new one. And on Sunday, she absolutely destroyed that column.
Here’s a small snippet of the transcript:
“Sure, not every woman goes to sporting events to find men. But 2-3% of women do, and they deserve to have articles geared to their interest on sports websites that they’ll never visit just in case they end up there by accident. It is very easy to try to type Cosmopolitan.com and accidentally type foxsports.com if you just got your nails done. And sure, on the surface the post might seem like it exists for no reason other than to stir up controversy. But I don’t think a blog on foxsports.com would do that. I honestly think, like she said, sometimes it just nice to let people know that men think you’ve still got it even though you’re way past your prime at—ew—31.”
