Rowers Get Attacked by Flying Fish, Because Life Is Awesome (Video)

When you’re a rower, there is some glory in your sport (winning races, the Winnklevoss portrayal in The Social Network), but there’s also a fair amount of indignities you must face. For instance, you have to jump out of the boat if you drop your oar, you’re in a very cramped little boat—or “shell,” as rowers like to remind people it’s called—and you have to take orders from a tiny guy with a microphone.

But rowers sign up for that. What they don’t sign up for is being attacked by flying fish. The freshman team at Washington University in St. Louis learned first hand what it’s like to be a character in a Mario Bros. game after they were attached by flying fish during a practice.
