Jameis Winston Wonderlic score

In case you were wondering if much of Jameis Winston‘s bad behavior over the past couple years was due to just being kinda dumb, it would appear not. He’s a somewhat intelligent person who just makes terrible decisions time and time again. At least, that’s what can be taken away from his score of 27 on the Wonderlic test.

The test measures practical mental ability, and is an important metric for quarterbacks especially leading up to their draft day.

Marcus Mariotta scored a 27 as well, which may be seen as a disappointment for his backers, as an increased awareness and intelligence may have been a selling point forĀ Mariotta over Jameis Winston.

To give some frame of reference for the Jameis Winston Wonderlic score, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning all got 28s, and noted academic Ben Roethlisberger got a 25. Joe Flacco got a 27, but no one really cares that much about Joe Flacco.

It merits noting that Winston received all-academic honors in the ACC for 2013 and 2014, but I think we can take such accolades with a huge shaker of salt.

Still, not a bad score. Maybe this guy’s a little more together than all his dumb actions would have us believe.
