Duncan Keith Double OT Winner vs Predators

The Chicago Blackhawks were trailing the Nashville Predators 3-0 after the first period during Game 1 of their first-round NHL playoff series on Wednesday. They answered with three goals of their own in the second period to tie things up at 3-3.  And after a scoreless third period, we were treated to our first dose of playoff overtime hockey this season.

It was a fairly heavy dose, too, as it wasn’t until eight minutes into the second overtime frame that Duncan Keith finally provided some OT magic.  It came on a seeing-eye slap shot from the point that made it’s way past Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne, giving the Blackhawks the 4-3 win and a 1-0 series lead.
