Most of the Kansas City Royals bats have been on fire to start the season, with seven of the nine starters from Sunday’s game batting over .289.  However, one player who has struggled to keep pace with the rest of his team at the plate thus far is third baseman Alex Gordon.

Despite being one of the team’s more valuable offensive weapons last season, Gordon has struggled with the bat in the early going of 2015.  Entering yesterday’s game against the White Sox, he had just one home run and five RBIs to go along with an abysmal .224 average through his first 15 games.

But he’s made up for his deficiencies with the bat by making incredible plays like this one with his glove. Check it out:

Something tells me Alex Gordon knew what he was doing when he ran over that White Sox fan in the front row.

In addition to the fancy glove-work, Gordon would also contribute a home run and two RBIs to his team’s effort.  Unfortunately for him and the Royals, it was a losing effort, as they fell to the White Sox, 5-3.
