Orioles-White Sox Postponed - Baltimore Riots

Tonight’s game between the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards was postponed due to safety concerns as the Freddie Gray protests turned violent once again.

The decision was made earlier in the day and posted on the Orioles’ official Twitter account:

No makeup date has been set but MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has not ruled out the possibility of moving the series to another venue:

Following Saturday evening’s extra innings victory over the Boston Red Sox, fans inside Camden Yards were forced to remain there until police were able to disperse the rioters and gain control of the situation outside the stadium. Sunday afternoon’s game went off without a hitch, but it looks like the Baltimore riots could have a rather significant effect on this three-game set between the Orioles and White Sox.

Stay tuned for more updates as the situation unfolds.
