Hundreds of Boxing Fans Too Cheap to Get Mayweather-Pacquiao Pay-Per-View Watched the Fight Through Window of Third Story Apartment (Video + Pic)
The Mayweather-Pacquiao pay-per-view was a hundred bucks. So it’s totally understandable that people didn’t want to spend that kind of money on a fight that no expert believed would live up to the hype.
That said, there were other ways to watch the fight without spending $100 all by yourself. For example, if you and just four friends got together, the cost was only $20 per person. And making such calculations required only the most rudimentary of math skills. Or, if you don’t have friends, you could have gone to a bar and paid $20 cover.
However, neither of these respectable alternatives to the $100 Mayweather-Pacquiao pay-per-view was cheap enough for hundreds of San Diegonites…San Diegoins…er, San Diegans. So they just went outside into the street and watched the fight through the window of a third story apartment. And Colorado Rockies reliever John Axford was there to capture Cheapskate-a-Palooza.
Here’s the crowd taking in the fight:

And here’s the crowd chanting “MOVE THE CHAIR, MOVE THE CHAIR,” and then cheering when the people in the apartment actually move the chair:

Personally I would have slowly and dramatically drawn the shades just to hear the boos. But I’m kind of a misanthrope.
