Giancarlo Stanton Home Run Leaves Dodger Stadium

The fact that a human was able to hit a ball out of Dodger Stadium should come as a shock to us, but this is Giancarlo Stanton we’re talking about here. All the dude does is hit the cover off the ball on a weekly basis.  And this week’s moonshot traveled an astounding 475 feet (approximately) with an exit velocity of 114 mph, according to MLB Statcast.

Okay, enough talking about it.  Just watch:

Stanton is just the fourth MLB player to hit a home run out of Dodger Stadium, joining Mark McGwire, Mike Piazza, and Willie Stargell—who did it twice, including a 506-foot bomb in 1969.
