Ben Ancheff: The 300-Pound College Pitcher You Have To See To Believe (Video)
Meet Ben Ancheff, the St. Thomas University pitcher who currently has the internet going bonkers over him.
He’s not the greatest pitcher out there, boasting a 4.71 ERA with 12 strikeouts and 8 walks over 21 innings this season. But let’s be honest. The only number that really matters when it comes to Ben Ancheff is the number that pops up when he stands on a scale…
That number? 300 pounds!!!
Simply put, this dude is huge! And we always enjoy seeing a fat man play sports (see: Bartolo Colon, Pablo Sandoval, and the Welsh Maradona). So watch this 300-pound college pitcher do his thing, and enjoy:
Ancheff was actually quite impressive during Friday’s appearance against Lewis-Clark State at the NAIA World Series, allowing just two hits and one earned run through 4.1 innings before exiting with an apparent arm injury. He handed his bullpen a 5-1 lead, but they wasted little time blowing it, allowing nine runs against over the final four innings, en route to a 10-7 loss.
