Former FIFA VP Jack Warner Cites “Onion” Article as Proof the U.S. Has It Out for Him
You know all those FIFA officials arrested in Zurch last week on corruption charges? Well, one of them was former FIFA VP Jack Warner. And on Sunday, Warner posted a rambling eight-minute video on his Facebook page (of course it was Facebook) denying any wrongdoing and arguing that the United States was just out for revenge after FIFA awarded the 2018 World Cup to Russia.
Warner’s evidence of the American witch hunt? A printed out article (of course it was printed out) from an American news website stating that FIFA had “frantically” announced a 2015 World Cup to be held in the United States.

Of course, that article was from The Onion, which is a very famous satirical newspaper that makes up ridiculous fake news that nevertheless manages to fool people all the time.
