Andre Iguodala

This is a little weird, so if that headline confuses you a little, don’t feel bad.

Yes, Andre Iguodala and James Jones play for two separate teams. No, players normally don’t congratulate opposing players on plays against them. But, basketball can be weird sometimes, so take it with a grain of salt.

In Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Andre Iguodala took the ball to the rim, then got blocked hard by the Cavs’ James Jones. Normal, right?

Then, Iguodala reaches out to give Jones a handslap for the great play. Jones is understandably confused and having none of it, so he rejects Iguodala a second time.

Here’s the clip:

You can laugh off the weirdness, until you realize that Golden State won the game, and this could very well have been their ace in the hole: Mind games against a mentally and physically exhausted Cleveland squad.

It’s only crazy if it doesn’t work.
