Embarrassing Blooper Costs Lightning Game 5 (Video)
Patrick Sharp opened the scoring during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight when he was handed an empty net breakaway after Lightning teammates Victor Hedman and goaltender Ben Bishop collided while chasing down a loose puck.
It may not have been the game-winning goal, but the Blackhawks would go on to win the game by a score of 2-1. So you could still say the Bishop-Hedman collision was the difference.

Bishop’s health was already in question heading into Game 5, but despite being shaken up on the play, he would remain in the game and was actually quite good, stopping 27 of the 29 shots he faced. Unfortunately, he wasn’t good enough, which means he and his Lightning teammates will have to be much better on Monday if they hope to survive a must-win Game 6 in Chicago.
