Did ‘The Simpsons’ Predict the St. Louis Cardinals Hacking Scandal? (Video)

Simpsons predict St. Louis Cardinals hacking scandal

With a total of 26 seasons and 574 episodes under their belt, The Simpsons have touched on nearly every subject from every angle.  So when we come across a current event that bears a striking resemblance to something The Simpsons had already done in a previous episode, it really shouldn’t surprise anyone.

And that’s just the case with the recent news of the St. Louis Cardinals hacking scandal.

Did The Simpsons know all along that the Cardinals had been hacking into the Houston Astros’ systems? Probably not, but they did an episode that seemed to hint at an awfully similar scenario back in October 1999 anyway.

The episode is called “Brother’s Little Helper,” and it featured an appearance from then-St. Louis Cardinals slugger Mark McGwire.  You can check it out below:
