Kelly Oubre Jr., a freshman forward with the Kansas Jayhawks last season, was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft on Thursday, and he was later traded to the Washington Wizards.
Oubre went 15th overall in the draft because scouts view him as an athletic, promising wing player with good range. However, if they graded him based on his shoe game, and not his basketball game, he’d be a surefire first-overall draft pick.
