Abby Wambach Gives Emotional Farewell Speech Ahead of Final Match (Video)

Abby Wambach Emotional Farewell

The 2015 Women’s World Cup Final between the USA and Japan today will mark the final match for Abby Wambach in an American uniform.

The 35-year-old forward has been one of the USWNT’s most accomplished players over the past couple of decades, winning the US Soccer Federation’s “U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year” award on six occasions, as well as an Olympic gold medal and the 2014 FIFA World Player of the Year award.

All that’s left for Wambach to add to her resume is a World Cup title, and she can do that with a victory over Japan.  But before she took the field for today’s final, Abby Wambach stepped in front of the camera to give an emotional farewell to the USWNT, which you can check out below:
