On Monday night, MLB debuted a new format for the 2015 Home Run Derby in Cincinnati. Like last year, they used a tournament bracket format instead of a round robin format. But unlike last year, or ever, the rounds were timed. Thus, instead of a set number of outs, each player got a set number of minutes.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, the rules were adjusted a bit right before the derby. Instead of the announced five minutes per round, each player only got four. And instead of the clock stopping when a player hit a home run with less than a minute left, the clock just kept on ticking.

The last minute change was all for the better, though. What we got was perhaps the best home run derby ever. Every matchup was decided by a single home run, no matchup featured fewer than 17 home runs, and 159 bombs were hit in all.

And the final round between Reds third baseman Todd Frazier and Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson? Incredible. Frazier won 15-14, sending the hometown fans into a frenzy.

If you missed it and you have 20 minutes to kill, we’ve got a condensed version of the entire derby below. However, if you only have a few minutes, at least take a look at the memorable moments.

First up we have the first ever home run derby buzzer-beaters, courtesy of Angels first baseman Albert Pujols and eventual champion Todd Frazier:

Next we have the longest homer of the night, a 487-foot bomb off the bat of runner-up Joc Pederson:

And then there were the breaks in the action. Here’s Prince Fielder taking a cotton candy timeout:

While Manny Machado called a timeout to refuel with some Machado’s Salsa:

Last but not least, he’s a Todd Frazier highlight reel that recaps his thrilling night:

That was one hell of a performance by Todd Frazier. And the best part is, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
