The Reason Marshawn Lynch Kept Chicken Wings in His Socks: Not As Complicated As You Might Think (Pic)
Last weekend, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch hosted his ninth annual free football clinic for underprivileged kids in his hometown of Oakland. However, the big story to come out of it had nothing to do with Marshawn’s charitable spirit. Instead, it had to do with Marshawn’s socks—or, more specifically, what he had in his socks.
You see, those are Marshawn’s feet in the photo above. And that bulge in his right sock—I kid you not—is a motherf#%&ing chicken wing.
He was also holding a partially eaten chicken wing in his left hand.

Luckily the folks at Maxim got to the bottom of all this. After the camp was over, they asked him about the sock.
Turns out it had nothing to do with superstition, or losing a bet, or anything complicated like that.
“My auntie fried up some chicken,” Lynch said, “and I had my hands full, and I don’t have no pockets on my shorts, so I just had to use what I had.”
Makes sense, right?
