Drake Checks the ’93 Blue Jays in Meek Mill Diss Track (Audio)
In case you’re not up on your rap beefs, let’s get you up to speed.
A rapper/songwriter named Meek Mill called Drake out for not writing his own rhymes and using ghostwriters. The allegation is largely unsubstantiated, especially because Drake credited co-writers on his album.
So, because this is Drake, and it’s 2015, he was able to turn around a diss track in about ten days’ time that lays into Meek Mill. And since Meek is from Philly, and Drake is from Toronto, it’s only fitting that there’s a a reference to the 1993 World Series in which Joe Carter launched a homer that gave the Jays the Series.

The whole thing is very Drake, and pretty damn funny. It’s not particularly good, but bear in mind it only took a week.
