Turns Out a Member of Floyd Mayweather’s TMT Crew Really Did Punch a Woman at a Warriors Game (Pic)
Back on May 14, TMZ reported that a member of Floyd Mayweather’s TMT crew got into an altercation with a woman at a Golden State Warriors game. At the time, Mayweather’s people insisted that no punches were thrown. Meanwhile, the Oakland Police Department would only say that there was a “mutual combat battery” incident at the game, and that they couldn’t confirm whether either of the parties involved were associated with Mayweather.
However, almost immediately after the story broke, witnesses starting coming forward to Deadspin. And their stories were pretty much all the same: a (possibly drunk) woman and her male companion seemed to be harassing a young man in a TMT hat, security came and kicked them out of the game, the woman then hit the young man with her thunder sticks, and then the young man punched her in the face.
So what really happened? Well, the Oakland PD finally closed the case this week. And according to the statements they took from the TMT crew member and the woman, it all went down exactly as Deadspin’s witnesses said.
Of course, the woman failed to mention that she and her companion were flat-out harassing the TMT guys before they got ejected, and that she slapped him in the face before he punched her. But luckily it was all caught on video.
The folks at Deadspin obtained the Oakland PD incident report. Here’s what the woman told them:
