Some Guy Made a Brilliant Ronda Rousey-Beth Correia 30 for 30 Parody, But the No-Fun UFC Was All Like “Cease and Desist” (Video)
We apologize in advance if the video embeded below is gone by the time you read this. But don’t blame us. Blame the UFC.
After Ronda Rousey destroyed Beth Correia as predicted at UFC 190 on Saturday, taking just 34 seconds to punch her Brazilian opponent into the ground, a guy named Rob Perez went and made a 30 for 30 parody about it.
The title of that parody? “I Should Not Have Pissed Off Ronda,” which of course is a reference to the feud Correia started when she inadvertently spat on the grave of Rousey’s dead father.
There’s not much to the video. The thing is only 30 seconds long. However, it did contain footage from the fight. So the UFC’s lawyers got it taken down.
That in itself is understandable. Every sports league and organization needs to be able to control who sees their content and where.
What’s less understandable is that the lawyers demanded that Perez’s Twitter account be suspended. And that Twitter was like, okay, whatever you say UFC.

Of course, the video is still out there on the interwebs:
Seriously guys, chill out. The video was funny, and it was good PR for the UFC and the person who’s become your biggest star.
Please, let @world_wide_wob have his Twitter.
