The Dallas Cowboys Do Their Own Version of ‘Mean Tweets’ (Video)

Dallas Cowboys

Jimmy Kimmel popularized the concept of mean Tweets on his ABC show, but it’s obviously a concept that has legs, so it’s no surprise that it’s getting stolen and re-used. For instance, the Dallas Cowboys have done it with their players reading the Tweets not once, but twice.

Of course, a copy is never as sharp as the original, and this version is pretty bootleg. There’s a Twitter logo drawn on a whiteboard, the video looks like it was shot with a camera phone, and the players aren’t exactly awesome at reading.

If you can get past those things, though, I’m guessing it’s pretty funny. Sort of.

It’s not the funniest thing in the world, but it’s worth a chuckle to see Brandon Weedon have to read the mean things people say about him. It’s too bad they couldn’t have done this back when they had Terrell Owens, Tank Williams, and Pac-Man Jones.
