Wrigley Field Bomb Threat Prompts Emergency Evacuation Following Sunday’s Giants-Cubs Game (Tweets)

There was a bomb threat at Wrigley Field early Sunday evening.

Fortunately, the game between the Cubs and Giants was over at about 5:23 PM, while the threat came in at about 5:50 PM, so most players and fans were long gone. However, there were still plenty of people working in the historic stadium, including the reporters who were finishing up their stories.

Needless to say, when the police came in and told them to get out, they basically live-tweeted the whole ordeal.

Fortunately, the Wrigley Field bomb threat only lasted about an hour. By 6:50 PM local time, everyone was given the all-clear to go back in and resume their work.

Unfortunately for all the reporters, they probably had to rewrite their stories a bit.
