Marshawn Lynch’s Mom Wants Seahawks OC Fired
When the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff called a passing play on 2nd & goal from the Patriots’ one-yard line during the final seconds of Super Bowl XLIX, they were blasted for opting to throw the ball with Russell Wilson, rather than handing it off to Marshawn Lynch.
After enduring an entire offseason of scrutiny for their Super Bowl play-calling, the Seahawks had a chance to redeem themselves during their week one contest against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, as they were faced with a 4th & 1 situation in overtime with the game on the line. This time, they did what everyone thought they should have done seven-and-a-half months ago, and ran the ball with Beast Mode. But much to the surprise of everyone, that play-call didn’t work either, as Lynch was stuffed behind the line of scrimmage.
Sure, they ended up losing the game as a result of Lynch’s failure to pick up one yard on the play, but at least their fans would be happy about their choice to hand the ball off to Beast Mode this time around, right?
Seahawks fans are still finding something to complain about, and leading the angry mob is Marshawn Lynch’s mom, who posted (and later deleted) the following message on Facebook, calling for the head of Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell:
“Too the smart azz media who wrote that’s why marshawn didn’t get the ball in the superbowl ,how many times did russell get sacked yesterday dont worry i will wait on the answer plus it was totally different at the superbowl the line was better than yesterday no blocking and to the offense caller who should have been fired yes i said it Fired !!! He is the worst play caller ever the only reason he called that dumb azz play yesterday is to be able to justify the 1 yard that wasn’t called in the superbowl ,but most fans already figured this out .were still on a mission but i know the Seahawks staff loves that play caller more than a win ,go figure ?#?nfldontpayme?# I love this team and will stand up to anybody who tries to destroy it boom!!!!”
Here’s an idea: How about we just let Lynch’s mom do the play-calling from here on out? She seems to think she can do a better job. How hard can it be?
