Aaron Rodgers Mocks Russell Wilson in Post-Game Interview (Video)

After the Packers won a hard-fought contest against the Seahawks last night, Aaron Rodgers, known for having a pretty dry sense of humor, took a likely shot at Hawks QB Russell Wilson. In the post-game interview, the NFL MVP said, in reference to their win, “And then getting help from God. I think God was a Packers fan tonight, so he was taking care of us.”

This is almost certainly a response to Russell Wilson saying in last year’s NFC Championship game that God was on the side of the Seahawks. When asked about that, Rodgers said in January, “I don’t think God cares a whole lot about the outcome.  He cares about the people involved, but I don’t think he’s a big football fan.”

I guess Rodgers has changed his tune and decided that God does love the Packers and cares very much about football when he dropped this one:

Maybe in the next few days we can hear from Russell Wilson why he thinks God abandoned his team in their darkest hour. I mean, isn’t there supposed to just be one set of footprints because God was carrying them?

The best part is the look on Aaron Rodgers’ face. He’s like, “Am I gonna do this? Yeah, it’s happening. I’m gonna do it.”
