wwe fan jumps into the ring

Even on a good day, a pretty sizable percentage of the WWE’s fanbase has trouble distinguishing fiction from reality. But recently things seems to have gotten a little out of control. There have been several high-profile instances over the last few months in which confused, possibly deranged WWE fans tried to get in on the action.

A few weeks ago, a fan jumped over the security railing during Seth Rollins‘ walk-in and escorted him to the ring. Before that, another fan jumped over the railing and tried to attack (or possibly stab) Dean Ambrose. And before that, another fan threw a homemade “Money in the Bank” briefcase at Roman Reigns and almost knocked him out.

Oh, and let’s not forget the obsessed WWE stalker who wiped his feces on the outside of the WWE training center in Orlando and was later shot by police.

Now we have another incident from Sunday’s “WWE Night of Champions” in which a crazy WWE fan jumps into the ring to join Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in their tag team match.

Ambrose and Reigns had been hyping a “mystery” partner for their six-man match against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman. And apparently this guy thought they were talking about him. The guy had a costume and everything.

Take a look:

Unfortunately, I guess this kind of thing is just the price you pay when your entire business depends on the intentional obfuscation of reality.
