Nationals Season Tickets Promotion: Hit a Home Run at Nats Park, Get Free Season Tickets

If you live in the Washington D.C. area and were thinking about getting 2016 Washington Nationals season tickets—you know, so you can watch the team underachieve in person—there’s a new Nationals season tickets promotion you might be interested in.

The promotion? Hit a home run at Nats park, get free season tickets.

Before you head off to the batting cages, though, you should know that there is some fine print. Fans can’t just walk in off the street and swing for the fences. You actually have to buy or put a deposit down on season tickets first. Then you get to register to take part in the home run contest.

And the contest? Yeah, it’s not going to be like the home run derby. Each contestant gets just two pitches from an automatic pitching machine and only one swing to knock the ball out of the park.

But that’s cool, because you’re nephew played third base for the South Carolina Gamecocks. You can have him hit for you!

Uh, no. Primary season ticket holders can have anyone they want hit for them…so long as that person never played Division I collegiate or major, minor, or independent league professional baseball.

So unfortunately, the chances of anyone actually winning this Nationals season tickets promotion are pretty slim. But you never know, right?
