The Vikings Are Adding Lactation Suites to Their Stadium for Breastfeeding Fans

If you happen to be breastfeeding and plan on attending a Vikings game after October 18th, you might find it to be a more comfortable proposition than it was in previous days. TCF Bank Stadium is adding two “Mamava” lactation suites to the facilities so that fans can breastfeed or breastpump in privacy and comfort.

The “suites” (really more like “pods”) pictured above are four feet by eight feet and are described as”self-contained, mobile pod[s] with comfortable benches, an electrical outlet for plugging in a breast pump and a door that can be locked for privacy.”

Sounds like a definite improvement over the existing accommodations, which currently don’t exist at all. Further, when the team moves to its new stadium next year, these suites will be present, along with the possibility of a nursing area that will allow moms to watch the game from a central location.

Nice work, Vikings!
