Baby Born at Petco Park During Padres-Giants Game
I’ve never been there myself, but by all accounts the San Diego Padres’ Petco Park is one of the nicer ballparks in baseball. And that’s a good thing. Because there was a baby born at Petco Park last night during the Padres-Giants game.
How did this happen? Well, we don’t actually know. Baseball mommy could have been in labor when she got to the ballpark but didn’t actually realize it. Or she might have gone into labor at the game and had no idea it would go so fast. After all, it usually takes at least a couple of hours before you get to the pushing part.
What we do know is that the baby was born in something called the Palm Court Plaza, it was a boy, and his parents named him Levi.
We welcomed a baby boy to the world in Palm Court Plaza earlier this evening. First baby to be born at Petco Park!

Of course, if you’ve seen those Buster Posey Esurance commercials, I know what you’re thinking…

But no, Buster did not deliver the baby. This awesome lady did:

Of course, while most women would probably prefer to give birth at a hospital, there are definitely worse places to be born than Petco Park.
I mean, at least it wasn’t Tropicana Field, right?
And in case you’re wondering about the game…
Happy birthday, kid.
