Cincinnati QB Taken Off On Stretcher After Suspect Late Hit (Videos)

Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel left the field on a stretcher after a dangerous high hit to the head in last night’s Cincy-Memphis game. The hit was flagged, but later ruled clean, after Chauncey Lanier dove towards Kiel just as he was laying back to slide, hitting his head.

Fortunately, after the Cincinnati QB was carted off and taken to a hospital, he was released and re-joined his team.

This incident came after Kiel reportedly re-joined his team last week after sustaining a mild concussion again Miami of Ohio.

As you can see, it DOES look more like a shoulder-to-shoulder hit (as it was called) than a targeted headshot.
