A scary scene unfolded during the seventh inning of Monday’s game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates, as Cards outfielder Stephen Piscotty collided with teammate Peter Bourjos while chasing down a fly ball off the bat of the Pirates’ Josh Harrison.

Bourjos ended up making the catch, but the bigger concern was the condition of Piscotty, who laid motionless on the ground for several minutes and was eventually stretchered off and taken to a hospital. Thankfully, test have come back negative and it appears as though the 24-year-old rookie escaped with just a head bruise and possibly a concussion.
