Steelers Fans To Protest Outside Heinz Field Against Mike Vick Tonight
Snoop Dogg Chimes In On Steelers’ Kicking Problems (Video)
The Pittsburgh Steelers clearly have a problem with their kicking game. First they lost Shaun Suisham to a season-ending injury in the preseason. Then his backup, Garrett Hartley, was placed on season-ending IR shortly after. That forced the Steelers to go with option No. 3, Josh Scobee, and he’s been nothing but a huge disappointment, missing four of ten field-goal attempts and one extra point through his first four games.
Scobee’s struggles began in week one, when he missed two of his four field-goal attempts against the Patriots during a 28-21 loss. That was followed up by an extra-point miss in week two, but after seemingly getting back on track with a 2-for-2 performance against the Rams in week 3, it was rock bottom for the former fifth-round pick of the Jags, as he missed attempts from 49 and 41 yards late in the fourth quarter, allowing the Ravens to remain within three points.
Baltimore would go on to record the game-tying field-goal with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Then, in overtime, with confidence in Scobee dwindling, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin decided to go for it on 4th & 1 from the Ravens’ 33-yard line (rather than attempting the 50-yard field-goal). Of course, they were stopped, and the Ravens would advance the ball 32-yards in the opposite direction, setting up Justin Tucker‘s game-winning 52-yard field-goal.
As you would imagine, this unfortunate turn of events didn’t sit well with many of the Steelers’ fans, including Snoop Dogg, who took to Instagram to voice his displeasure with Josh Scobee’s performance.
