Boxer Takes Fight in the 1st Round with ‘Perfect Punch’ KO (Video)

I’ll be honest: I don’t know why this first round knockout gets the distinction of a “perfect punch,” when so many other fights end in first round KOs. Why is this boxer’s punch more perfect?

I’m not sure, but when you lay out an opponent in the first round, you clearly did something right. Gabriel Bracero took down Danny O’Connor just 41 seconds into their bout.

They’re calling this a candidate for “knockout of the year,” which I think might be jumping the gun, but that’s probably just NBC promoting a fight that NBC aired. The knockout of the year is a low, low uppercut that takes a boxer off of his feet and preferably into row 12 of the stands.
