STL RB Todd Gurley Body Slams Green Bay’s Clay Matthews (Video)

Yeah, I had to read the headline a couple times and watch the video to make sure that I didn’t get those names backwards.

Todd Gurley, the standout rookie RB, with the help of momentum and a Clay Matthews leap, took the giant Packers linebacker out of the air and helped him find his way to the turf. It wasn’t particularly vicious, but it’s always fun to watch a skill player levy a huge block or tackle on a larger defender.

Gurley’s quickly making a name for himself as one of the most promising offensive players in the league. And while we get lots of big run highlights, this play demonstrates a different, but no less valuable skill set.
