Why Did This Chargers Linebacker Eat 21,000 Calories in 43 Minutes? (Video)

Chargers linebacker

Brock Hekking is an injured Chargers linebacker. As such, he’s probably a) frustrated, and b) got a lot of free time on his hands. So, he took to Phil’s BBQ in San Diego to eat a whole mess of food to say to the world, “Hey, I might be injured, but that’s not going to stop me from putting a trauma-inducing amount of food into my stupid body.”

And that’s what he did.

The roster of foods eaten, totaling 21,396 calories?

  • 2 racks of beef ribs
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 pulled pork sandwiches
  • 1 giant sausage
  • 1 pound of mac and cheese
  • Large side of fries
  • Large onion rings
  • Bite of coleslaw
  • 2 ears of corn
  • 64-ounce Mountain Dew

BITE OF COLESLAW? That’s the closest thing to a healthy element on this list, and he could only muster a bite? Dammit, Brock.

Here’s the video. You probably don’t want to watch it, but whatever:

Man, that guy looks obnoxious. The competitive eating, the stupid hair, his name. All of it.
