If you like classy ballplayers, then get ready. You’re going to love Astros bullpen catcher Javier Bracamonte.
On Wednesday evening, after the Kansas City Royals won Game 5 of their American League Division Series and sent the Houston Astros packing, Bracamonte did something really awesome.
Check out the story and photos from Royals fan David Dahmer:
Think that’s awesome? Well, it gets better. Another Royals fan named John Garrison replied to Dahmer’s original post with a story and photo of his own.
“Before game 2,” Garrison wrote, “the same Astros bullpen catcher guy played catch with the kids for at least 20 minutes. This is a picture of my son Jag playing catch with him. He went up and down the line playing catch with a bunch of kids.”
By now you’re probably loving Javier Brackamonte. But get ready to love him even more, because he somehow saw the original Facebook post and sent David Dahmer an amazing message.
“Thank you so much Sr that what baseball is about,” Brackamonte said. “I just a kid come from venezuela to play baseball to USA my dream come true working for the houston astros and wan be sure the kids really enjoy come to a Mlb game that why I’m really enjoy playing catch before the game with them put a big smile on those kids.”
