Doc Rivers, the head coach of the always-interesting Los Angeles Clippers, has decided (for some reason that we may never understand) to join Twitter, making him accessible to every crazy sports fan with Internet access. With his inaugural tweet, he thanks Phil Jackson for suggesting he join.

We’ll see how grateful he is once we get DeAndre Jordan pulling the sad puppy dog routine over playing time with flurries of late-night tweets. Mostly, though, people are being polite but I’d still suggest that anyone with any real power in the NBA stay away from social media.
