This isn’t the sort of thing that just happens. A player doesn’t get lucky and pitch the puck over a sliding defender, then knock it out of the air, Mark McGwire-style into the goal. This is the sort of thing that’s practiced. Over and over. And over and over and over. Forever.

Then, if circumstances are just right, as they were for Nathan Pelletier of BWC Hockey Academy, then you get the goal.

There are so many wildly different “goals of the year” that comparing them is a fool’s errand. But this is certainly as good as any other ones you’ll see.
