SportsNet Jumps The Gun, Declares Mets Game 5 Winners Before Royals Tie It Up

SportsNet has been responsible for broadcasting the 2015 World Series in Canada, so you’d think they would have been well aware of the fact that the Royals were still alive in Game 5 after heading into the bottom of the ninth trailing 2-0…

Guess not.

Here’s a look at what they posted on their Twitter account, prior to the Royals’ two-run rally in the ninth that tied the game at 2-2 and sent it into extra innings:
