Bruins’ Chris Kelly Suffers Fractured Femur (Video)
A fractured femur is one of the most painful injuries in all of sports, and unfortunately, we witnessed one tonight.
The victim this time was the Boston Bruins’ Chris Kelly, who went down with a broken left leg during what appeared to be a rather harmless play.
Check it out:
Kelly is set to undergo surgery tomorrow and will likely be out anywhere from 6 to 8 months—which means his season is done.
As for beyond this season, well, at 35-years-old (on November 11) it’ll be interesting to see how Kelly bounces back from an injury as serious as this one, or whether he’s able to bounce back at all. One thing’s for sure: we’ll all be rooting for him.
