Kevin Love Gets Knocked Down, LeBron Won’t Help Him Up (Video)
Terrible Kobe Bryant Performance Gets NBA Jam Treatment (Video)
As you may have heard, Kobe Bryant is off to a pretty rocky start this season. In fact, rocky doesn’t even do it justice. The other night against the Denver Nuggets, Kobe went 4-for-11 from the field and 1-for-5 from beyond the arc. And it wasn’t just bad luck, either. Kobe’s missed shots weren’t particularly close. The dude was throwing up pretty much nothing but bricks and air balls.
It’s all pretty sad, really. You’d like to see a legend like Kobe go out with dignity. But there is nothing dignified about his first four games.
Look at the bright side, though. At least the Lakers aren’t overpaying Kobe for his twilight years.
Haha, just kidding! Kobe is making $25 million this year, a whole $10 million more than their next-highest paid player—Roy Hibbert.
In fact, it’s Kobe’s $25 million salary that makes this entire situation so absurd. I mean, nobody cares if some guy making the league minimum shoots 4-for-11 from the field. And we certainly wouldn’t want to see that guy making the league minimum get the NBA Jam treatment. But Kobe Bryant? Oh yeah, we all want to see that.
Now, I know you Lakers fans out there are pretty bummed about all this. But the rest of us find it kind of humorous. So try to see it from our perspective:
RIP Black Mamba.
