Eagles Offensive Linemen Speak Out Against Greg Hardy After OT Win
Two of the Eagles’ offensive linemen didn’t pull any punches discussing Greg Hardy following their team’s overtime win over the Cowboys on Sunday night. Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce both spoke openly about how they targeted the Cowboys defensive end with extra aggression after pictures were released Friday of the injuries he inflicted on then-girlfriend Nicole Holder.
Tackle Lane Johnson said to reporters after the game, “Any time I had a chance to put a little extra mustard on a block, I tried. He wasn’t all that emotional in the game. I guess he is in other games. I don’t know if the stuff got to him on the news, but he kind of seemed out of it a little bit.”
Kelce was even more blunt with his words, saying “I’m glad he didn’t have a good day. It’s a joke a guy like that is able to play this quickly.” He later added, “Three people I have zero respect for in this world: People who hit women, who molest children, and rapists.”
It seems that much of the media and players are imparting pressure on the league, Hardy, and the Dallas Cowboys following the graphic pictures that have been released, though no further investigation or action has been mentioned.
