LeBron Sends a Letter of Support to a Fan with Muscular Dystrophy

Emanuel Duncan is an Indianapolis teen afflicted with muscular dystrophy who recently achieved local notoriety after getting a feature printed in the Indianapolis Star. The disease generally leads to a shorter-than-average life expectancy, and to that end, Emanuel Duncan has put together quite the bucket list of experiences.

He already knocked off a huge one when the sports fan got to visit Bristol and tour the ESPN headquarters. Next up, he’s raising the stakes a little more, as he wants to meet The King.

Duncan hasn’t crossed paths with LeBron just yet, but he did get a nice care package from the NBA icon after James learned of his fandom. Duncan was sent some shoes, promise bands, and headphones by the star. He also sent this letter to his fan:

And there’s a good chance that when the Cavs come to Indy, Duncan may just get his wish.
