Dallas CB Corey White Claims He Was Cut For Not Wearing a Suit on Travel Days
A) I can’t believe that the Dallas Cowboys would cut someone for not wearing a suit on travel days. They employ a healthy array of domestic abusers, shoplifters, arms dealers, drunk drivers, and thugs. Attire is not their biggest issue.
B) If you’re a fringe player on the bubble of being cut, WHY THE HELL WOULDN’T YOU WEAR A SUIT ON TRAVEL DAYS AND BREAK TEAM RULES?
Corey White confirmed to TMZ that he was cut by the Cowboys last week because he did not wear a suit while traveling for a road game.
The ex-Cowboys cornerback went on to say, “I’m not angry. It’s the rules,” adding that he had been told by a member of the coaching staff that his dismissal was in fact the result of his dress code violation.
I, on the other hand, would be furious if I where White—if not with the team, than just with myself. This guy doesn’t sound like a huge pro, but we’ll see if he gets picked up by another team and manages to track down a Men’s Wearhouse in his new city.
