Watch 28,815 Stuffed Animals Go Airborne for the Calgary Hitmen’s Annual ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ (Video)
In what’s become an annual tradition that benefits the less fortunate citizens of Calgary, as well as the spectators watching, a sold-out arena for a Calgary Hitmen (Western Hockey League) game turned out, stuffed animals in hand, for the annual Teddy Bear Toss, throwing them on the ice as a way of donating to needy families for the holidays.
Fans got discounted tickets if they arrived with a teddy bear to donate, which led to a packed house. The team sought to break the previous record of 26,919 bears, and it looks like they did so easily.
I’m guessing you want to see what 30,000 teddy bears flying through the air looks like, right?
Ok. Here you go.
Hmm. It’s more like a steady trickle that seems to go on forever. I guess those bears in the back need to make their way up front.
